Been working on my shed a lot, and I needed to cut a hole for an LB, so I decided to grab a hole saw set I remember seeing at HF that looked nice. I also had a gift card with a few dozen doll hairs on it, so I made the drive. When I got there, I realized it was a whopping $65! I am not sure I would’ve sprung for the whole set if I didn’t have a gift card that lessened the blow by about half, but I’m glad I did. The set comes in a solid plastic case with a nice sliding lock. I prefer these to clips, myself. It comes with two arbors (one for the smaller diameter saws and a beefier one for the larger saws), 9 hole saws, and an Allen key for loosening/tightening the pilot arbor. I needed the 1 3/8” saw for my application, and a quick glance at the manual showed that you pull the knurled collar back to allow the saw to thread onto the arbor. After realizing you just have to pull pretty hard to get it free at first, it worked well. The hole got cut quickly and easily, as expected, and the windows in the saw worked well to punch out the plug. All in all, the set looks like it should last a long time (hopefully). It certainly appears to be very well made. Of course, time will tell, but one thing’s for sure: I won’t be needing another hole saw anytime soon (and I’ll know where they are)!
