Been holding off on a thickness planer purchase until I got my shop setup a little further along.

Happened to be visiting my mom in Florida last week, and she suggested we go to a nearby estate sale. We usually have fun at those and I occasionally find something useful. The ad showed lots of woodworking tools and workshop supplies, so it seemed interesting.

I scored a Delta thickness planer for $10. It was partly disassembled and missing blades, but otherwise seems to be in good shape. Motor runs smoothly and the carriage works properly. It will be a bit of a project to get it assembled and tuned, but it should be fun, and certainly worthwhile.

P.S. My mom is a Harbor Freight fan. She can't get enough of the free flashlights.
